ESG University and the North Dakota Watchdog Group have entered into a “Content Collaboration and Partnership” for the 2023 legislative session in North Dakota.
Part of the agreement is a podcast that is intended to be a quick, 10-minute update on what is happening that day. The podcast will be available for Substack Subscribers only.
“Jason (Spiess) and I have worked together on a number of projects over the past 20 years in North Dakota,” North Dakota Watchdog Network founder and Chairman of the Board Dustin Gawrlow said. “This next project will be our most exciting yet with a new crop of legislators, ESG issues and the legacy fund should keep us quite busy in 2023.”
The North Dakota Watchdog Network is also offering 20% savings from anyone who subscribes to his Substack account via ESG University.
“It’s always a pleasure working with Dustin and the North Dakota Watchdog Group,” ESG University founder Jason Spiess said. “This is just state one in the big picture, hopefully we will be able to add another state or two before next year.”
Spiess said ESG University has had people from all over the United States contact the educational awareness organization and ask if ESG U is hiring.
“There’s a big sector of the population who want to work for ESG U so they can educate people on the dangers of ESG as well as understand the realities behind the pie-in-the-sky goals,” Spiess said. “We have people in Colorado, Wyoming and Texas who would like to work for us and do reporting with multimedia content on this project, but don't have the experience of Dustin or myself, so there’s some funding issues there which impact our demand for training and workforce.”
Both Spiess and Gawrlow’s organizations have a set of professional policies, ethics codes and industry standards companies, employees and organizations must understand before anything is created, performed or executed.
“I believe there is still a market for truth, justice and transparency,” Spiess said. “Furthermore, I believe there is a bigger growing market for respect, kindness and authenticity too.”

Here is the latest North Dakota Watchdog Network Substack Feature.
Previously, I have highlighted two BIG proposals to reform the state’s income tax system and to reform the state’s public pension fund policy. Taxpayers should be nothing but supportive of both of these proposals.
One of the biggest boondoggles of the last few years in North Dakota has been what was created in the 2021 Legislative Session called the “Clean and Sustainable Energy Fund.” This was part of the $500 million coal industry bailout bill that we strongly opposed at the time.
The Clean Sustainable Energy Fund is an open-ended expansion of government.
Based on the makeup of the voting committee, the deck is clearly stacked for using the money and the government program to bailout, subsidize, and prop-up traditional energy. And since we have multiple bills this session to help the coal industry, one can only assume it is to help that industry. At least for a little while.
It is also becoming apparent that the goal of the fund is to use state tax dollars to create a government program that will subsidize speculative technology with the goal of making fossil fuel based energy more marketable to states that have decided they don’t want such power sources.
In March of 2021 I appeared on Rick Becker’s TV show to discuss this agenda and this new fund. (Click here to watch that video.)
