Many are questioning how so many could be laid off so quickly after trillions of dollars devoted to economic development.
According to Alessandra Riemer, Editor at LinkedIn News, tech companies have — and continue to — shed jobs in numbers not seen since the dot-com crash, layoffs are beginning to seep into other industries. Yet, the labor market remains strong, with more than 10.5 million open jobs and unemployment at 3.5%.
